I have been collecting parts and thinking of things for this build for sometime now.

Well it's time to start building what I think would make the best 2.2 Clod in History. I spared nothing and have one big thing still in the works. You'll have to wait to see what it is, but if you have a 2.2 Clod. You'll want it.

I started with the Axle tubes. I bought some Hot-Racing Alumn tubes and had to mod them to get more steering. Wasn't to hard to do at all. You will need to rotate the axle C's so the flat spot on the tube is where the steering arm meets. Then cut off the extra off the C's to match the tubes. I also grinded the edge just a little. With this mod I maxxed out the CVD's before the knuckles make contact with anything.

Here is a Picture of the differnce it made. There are no CVD's installed in this pic.

Next was the Rear tubes. Nothing was needed here. I cut off the steering arm on the knuckles for clearance issues.

Mounted everything together.

Here is the max steering you can get from CVD's. Now all I need is a steering link that can handle it. The BTA kit from TTR doesn't allow enough room to clear the gear cases. I just threw my old tires on.

Here are my new 2.2 Jordans. I wanted to try something a little wider this time. If I don't like the extra width. I'll just cut them down.

I mod'ed the inner ring from a 12mm hex to a 14mm hex. You can find this mod in my Tech section if you interested. This mod with shorten your track a little more then 1/4in.

Also another little trick you can do is get yourself 4 extra rings. Mount them like in the pic below. This pulls your tire closer to the knuckles and shortens your track width almost a full 1/2in. Just sandwich your tire bead between the two rings.

Here is a before and after pic.

I'm still waiting on two more rings to finsh this little trick. Here it is as a New Roller with my old Tires on it.

Wondering what I choose for electronics. Well here they are. DX6 radio gear, Dual Mamba Max's, MPI Voltage Reg, and Two Brushless CrawlMasters from HomlesHobbies.com.

Here is the size differnce between a 60t lathe and the CrawlMaster. Weighs about 1/2 the amount also.

Got my new BTA kit in and installed. Brought to you by J&M Customs.

After that I got the motors, Electronics and the body mounted as low as I could get it.

Thats all for now. More coming Soon.
